This election will decide the policy of this nation for the next 4 years. If John McCain and Sarah Palin win, we might start being even more hostile against governments that don't need are antagonism. Our economy will continue to free fall, and if McCain dies in office we will be in an even worse situation then the one I just mentioned. We would likely attack Iran or severely sever ties with Russia, and the respect-o-meter will be in the gutter. If Barack Obama and Joe Biden win, our economy has a fighting chance, our foreign policy might be more respected, we might be able to talk to countries that hate us because of past presidents. Eventually we might be able to ghet through to those who doubt us in eastern Europe, the Middle East, South America, and Asia.
So basically its all about Barack Obama. He simply is the man we need to lead our country in every way. No matter what the negative propaganda about him saying things like "Pal's around wit Terrorists" Are you kidding? Take a look at how many situations and debates Senator Obama handled more calmly, collectedly, and insipring then Senator Mcain could possibly dream of. 72 years is old in any part of the world we dont need the past preacing change we need a modern source of change with enough determination and courage to fix this country as it is badly needed. My next four years if Obama is elected will be History. Literally things are going to change and not always for the better but in the end its all for the greater good.
The biggest effect that this election will have on me is the economy. In the next four years I will have to get a job and the lack of these jobs scares me. Even if I can find a job, who knows if the pay will be good or if I earn any benefits. Depending on who wins, foreign policy will affect me as well. We could be at a war with more countries or we can improve relationships with other countries and develop better trade agreements.
The election will decide the policies of the nation and the economy. The economy is the biggest worry in my opinion because we are so far in deficit. If our economy does not get out of the gutter we could lose our superiority in the world.
Well, it doesn't really matter who wins, if either president wins. The president will make the decisions but the US citizens need to agree also. There will be other people supporting the needs besides the president. A President just gives speeches to people to listen to but doesn't really means a confirm.
I think the affect between Bush, McCain, and Obama will be a small effect.
Once again, I AM NOT A BIG FAN OF POLITICS OR GOVERNMENT OR PRESIDENT STUFF
Obama and McCain both have extremely different views on many issues going on today. One huge issue that our country is fighting is taxes. McCain wants to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, reduce the corporate income-tax rate, increase the exemption for dependents by two-thirds and cut back on the inheritance tax. Obama wants to roll back the tax cuts for people making more than $250,000. People who make less could receive a number of tax credits. According to neutral Tax Policy Center, people making less than $250,000 would overall see a bigger increase in their take-home pay under Obama and McCain. The difference between Obama’s and McCains views could both greatly affect my family along with other families in many different ways. Other controversial issues going on between Obama and McCain that stood out in my mind are abortion, death penalty, gun control, gay marriage, health care and stem cell research. Among those issues, there are so many more that will affect people in America. Of those issues that I named, the one that really got to me was abortion. McCain is pro-life, meaning he does not support abortion. Obama favors abortion rights. Now, I’m not saying I like the idea of abortion, but I am pro-choice. I think every individual should be allowed to make their own decisions about whether to have an abortion or not. I do not agree with the idea that the government should be allowed to tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her own body. If McCain wins, that could potentially affect the woman in my age group. I think it would be wrong for McCain to take away those rights and I agree with Obama that a woman should be allowed to make that choice on her own without government restrictions. I am not implying anything, but overall I think that the issue of abortion is the number one issue that could possibly directly affect me. Because Obama and McCain have some extremely different opinions, the results of this election are going to affect Americans all over in so many different ways. In general, I think there are SO many different things about this election that could potentially affect me depending on whether McCain or Obama wins.
I got some of my info at: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/03/obama_mccain_on_the_issues/?page=3
This election completely affects me. I’m 17 so in the next four years I will be affected by it for at least the last two. I don’t know about much from either campaign, but I’m rooting for Obama because I’ve seen the debates. McCain is extremely evasive when it comes to question and brings up things off topic. If McCain is elected I don’t see much good coming from it. he has had cancer4 times I think and is 72. I know Ronald Reagan was 73 but he was reelected but he only had Alzheimer’s and it was after he had officially left office. If McCain does die, Sarah Palin will be our president and that’s a seriously disturbing thought. She’s against women’s rights, for one, so there would be a lot of suicides, murders, deaths, and dead babies all over the country. Not to mention that Palin is extremely stupid beyond all reason, she has a great personality but she isn’t qualified to be our nation’s leader at all. Obama’s also likely to be assassinated, but Biden really knows what he’s talking about. They both are young and experienced and both would be great leaders in my opinion. If McCain id elected I'm totally boned.
This years election will either be a great four years for me or they will be worst than the past eight years. I really do hope that senator Obama wins the election so that one history will be made and to that the democrats will be in charge of the government. Senator Obama’s stance on issues don’t really affect my judgment just as long as we leave Iraq and stop invading countries that don’t need to be invaded and if we do invade then we better have a good reason to. If McCain wins I think my parents were looking at houses in Canada (JK). If McCain does win then I really hope that the 4 years that he is in office are better than the current leaders 8 years.
This election will effect my next four years in many ways. One being that if Obama wins health care insurance will be more affordable. If you already have a pre-existing disease Obama will still make sure that you are covered. Our country is in major debt right now so depending on who becomes president will have a great impact on my every day life. Will I have enough money to buy a house? drive a car? These are questions that I will be thinking about in the next few years. Now lets say that I want to travel and people ask where i'm from and I say America; right now that is a positive response but if Mccain becomes President we may have more conflicts with other countries. As Julie Desiderio said abortion rights are a big concern. I am for pro-choice because I believe that every person shall have the right to choose what they want to happen to their child, or if they even want one. It is a scary thought to think that Sarah palin could possibly become President because her views are very narrow minded and old fashioned. It would change every day life for woman. Overall I believe that Barack Obama will be our next President and I think that he is the change that this country needs.
I agree with Alex, Obama's aI think reform policies are more effective than what McCain is proposing. Obama has been very favorable to foregn countries like Germany for example. And helping our foreign policy get back up on it's feet is a big step in helping the economy.
McCain/Palin's ecoconomic reform is a little to close minded. I think it's kinda summed up by this video --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtEP3ROE4zw With McCain at what some people say "deaths door" Palin would take charge of the country. Wither her limited knowledge of the position given to her I don't know how she could cope.
We need a candidate who was like FDR during the Great Depression, a leader who isn't afraid to try new things to help get the economy back on it's feet and is not afraid to fail.
Hopefully when the elections come around people will put aside their petty beleifs and vote for who they think is the best candidate.
This coming election is one of the most important and most watched elections ever before. Our next president is expected to improve our economy, stop our problems in Iraq/Afghanistan, and try to create his view of a Utopian society, as all politicians try to create.
I believe, with Barack Obama as our next president, we will have far more affordable health care, we will stop the pointless fighting in Iraq and focus our efforts internally to create a overall stronger nation. Obama is a social democrat, something we need right now with the unstable, extremely capitalistic economy that led us into recession. Another important plan by Obama, in my opinion, is his plan to help pay for college tuition for students. Under McCain, I believe we will have an erratic leader who would be highly unpopular to both parties and greatly divide our nation. His plan to give everyone $5000 to help pay for their health insurance is absurd because it is paid for by your taxes. Also, I personally believe McCain wants to invade Iran and cause another pointless war and cause us to go another $5 billion in debt to $15 billion. His campaign adds are extremely offensive and his statements are not even supported. This shows alot about McCain's character, and shows me that we would have a president who lies to his people like Reagan did during his presidency.
This election will determine many things about my future. It will decide if we are to continue in the war, if the recession will worsen or improve, simple rights for the people, and our dependency on oil. If Obama wins, I believe civilians basic rights will improve. However, I suspect our financial issues will worsen as Obama did not have a clear solution out of the recession. Unless he and Biden get lucky, I believe we will be in a worse financial state. If McCain wins, I believe the unemployment rates will improve and the recession will be better. However, the world we will be living in will be much more conservative and people will make our decisions for us: who to marry, whether or not to have a child. While we may be in a better financial state, we will be worse off.
This election will make my next four years big. I believe that if John McCain win presidency our society will come to a screeching halt. what i mean by that is that our society will go completly down the gutter.I dont think McCain is a bad guy, but he is too old to run for president, and to top it off already has cancer. If McCain dies then our country will be stuck with Sara Palin in office and sorry Mikalea but that would be bad. Every one would be wearing sunglasses around! ahah! To suit our country best i believe we need a Obama. Everybody always says " he is a terrorist" and that he is going to blow our country up, but to throw some fact out there he is the whitest black guy around. And his race is AMERICAN. i think Barrack Obama will help our forign policy become better and we will have a chance to become friends with some of the countries that hate us.
Another reason why i dont want McCain to become president is because he plans to invade iran, therefore raising our debt to even more. I dont want our country to crash so i believe McCain isn't the one for president.
Honestly, I want Barack Obama to win. Yes, my parents are conservatives, and my dad, naturally, likes McCain. I don’t see a problem with McCain, I think he is experienced, and he would have a great impact on our country. I don’t have a problem with Obama. He seems like a knowledgeable man who could do great things someday.
But the reason I want Barack Obama to win is because I just want to see what happens. Everyone loves him, and I want to see why. I want to see if everything he talks about will work.
If Obama is elected president, the single-most policy I want to see taken into affect is the nation-wide free health care. If everyone can get it, for free, wouldn’t all hospitals be packed all the time? If I was able to the doctor’s office for free, then I would be in there a lot more than I am now. If I have a cold, sure, I’ll go to the doctor. Why not? It’s free.
I also think with either of our candidates, our economy will shoot up in the first couple months, maybe the first year even. But within this next presidency, I will attend college. That means I will pay tuition, housing, and food. I obviously want a good economy for this, so I think this presidency has a great impact on me. Maybe it affects where I attend school. Therefore affecting my future career.
Whoever gets elected, I will be happy for another 4 years. Then we have 6 more months of TONS of democratic campaign signs in California, and every republican afraid to say something. Yeah, good times. So until next election, farewell politics.
There will be an affect on our nation deciding on who will be president for the next four years. All I can say is that I’m also another one of those people that are not a big fan of politics, so I had to do a whole lot of research on both candidates. As I said before I agree and disagree with both candidates on some major issues. Economy concerns me the most, because unfortunately we are in major deficit and I plan on getting a job and driving next year. I hope America makes the right decision on who they choose for the election. Which stinks is that the election is next month and I’m only 17. I have to wait until I’m 21. :(
The election will affect many things in our country. We are going through a crucial time where many ideas are colliding and each can affect our future. Other controversial issues going on between Obama and McCain that stood out in my mind are abortion, death penalty, gun control, gay marriage, health care and stem cell research. The most important concerns that I have are that of the war and the economy. If the economy would collapse it would have a direct effect on my life. The economy, if it keeps falling, will reach depressions that will casue a shortage on goods and money. The inflation would devastate the economy and affect the middle-income people. Barack is going against wealthy owners and is working to help the lower class people. The Social Security will become better by Barack when he takes taxes from high-income people and help distribute amongst the poor. This comes as a relief to most of the U.S and me. Barack against the war campaign is better to me than the McCain for the war.I consider the war a futile attempt to try and force peace to a group of people who are against us. It would be better not to send more troops and lose precious soldiers. I am not saying pullin everyone out of the war but stop funding so much for an ill war.
This election will have a large affect on our country and many other countries. They are on different sides of the political spectrum, and have very different policies. I fear for the economy because it will affect me greatly in the years to come.
With the age that I am now, the next four years of my life are four of the most important years as a young adult. In the next four years I will be taking the SAT and ACT, going to college, moving out of my house and turning 18. The elections could make or break what my future is going to be like, but no one see the future. We can only predict and hope.
Education is probably the most important aspect of the next for years. Obama promises to help pay tuition for people who can't afford it and with this economic crisis and people losing money this is a good chance for people would do not have money to go to school and get a good education.
Also with this debt and economic crisis people are going to lose a lot of money like my family. This is why question like are we going to have enough money for my sister and I to complete our educations? Are we going to have money to drive? Eat? Will we be able to get a job easily and start our lives independently? The next four years with who ever gets elected can have a great impact on your future.
Over all I believe Obama is the right man for president but the only thing that really concerns me is that Obama seems to not really care for the debt we are in and that is one thing that is bringing down the nation. If the debt was paid everyone would have an easier time especially with taxes and more people would have money to send children to school and pay for the necessities of life.
Here are some of the websites I used to write my blog: http://www.ontheissues.org/Barack_Obama.htm
It is clear to me that the US and the world are at a major turning point. Many decisions will be made in the next 4-8 years that will affect not only me, but everyone around me. Will we have universal health care or will some people not be able to afford medical insurance? Will the United States be limited by enormous debt or will we be able to dig ourselves out of this financial hole? Will the United States’ resources continue to be wasted in Iraq or will we be able to pull or ourselves out of that war? In addition, will the United States be viewed by the world as a leader for world democracy and freedom, or will we be viewed as just another country? Will there be enough energy in the world for my needs, or will energy begin to be rationed as it was in World War II. Whoever is elected will have to deal with these issues which will certainly affect my life. I hope these issues are put in the hands of the right candidate. I guess we will find out the answers to these questions soon.
So personally it think Obama would be a better president. I have nothing against McCain but he is older and has had cancer problems and if for some reason he dies in office Sarah Palin will be our president. I honestly have nothing against her and I think in a few years she could possibly do good for our country. She has some good ideas I just dont think she would be ready for something like this quite yet.
Like Julie said, a big problem right now is taxes. Both candidates have different views on this issue and I think that either way we will be greatly affected. Hopefully it will be a good thing though!!
Both candidates have very different ideas and it will be very interesting to see who wins this years election.
This upcoming presidential election is coming up rather quickly. I think the changes that my generation will face is taxes. If bema is our next president he will make sure that the rich people are taxed which I don’t think is right because e they have worked hard for their money so regardless of the income that one brings in everyone should have to pay the same amount due to the fact that everyone is equal. However I think that who ever is elected for president will also have a big impact on what affects that might occur. I think that if Obama is elected for president that he will be in our children’s history books. We have never had an African American run our country. I believe that if he is elected he will bring a great amount of change for our people and be the best president that he can be. However McCain I don’t think really is promoting change and something needs to be done in our country so we can be the great United States that we are set out to be. Our country is in major debt right now so what is going to happen with that? Are the presidential candidates going to take our more taxes that are in our checks? All of this is so overwhelming for me but I think that our next president should be Obama because I think he will bring change and help our country to get back on our feet.
I think whoever becomes president will be put in a very difficult position. It will be hard to judge them based on these next four years because of the huge hole we are already in. But in the long run these next four years will obviously have a huge impact on our lives. The policies they pass may not affect us directly, but it will change how our lives play out down the road. It is almost imposible to judge a presidents preformance while in office, Who knows what would have happened if Al Gore was president
This election will be the biggest ones involving our own lives. Right now I am just about to turn 17, that means the next president will be around until I am 21. Between that time I will be entering the real world. I already have a job now and will have one for a long time, that means taxes is a concern for me. Personally, I would like taxes to be lowered and if the president does decide to lower taxes that will affect me. Also, there probably won't be, but if the war keeps going on and they don't have enough volunteers there would be a draft and they would be looking for people about my age, but like I said that probably won't happen. Also, when I go off to college and live on my own and have a job, I would like to start off into a good economy, not a depression. That would make it even harder to get a job. Now I know that the next president is going to have a tough time trying to fix Bush's mistakes, but hopefully the president will do his best to try and make this country better. That is how this election will affect me. It is unfair that this election me affect us so much and I am only a year too young to vote.
Over the next four years I will be graduating high school, getting a full time job, going to a university, and starting my carrier in law and politics. The next four years are my only remaining childhood cradle and with help and fortune will allow the rest of my life to prosper. But if that were to be interrupted, changed, or in anyway besides my choosing altered- it would change the course of the rest of my life. So I sit here wondering the politics of each candidate and pondering the effects of their actions they will take. One of these men will be our next President, which if we have learned anything over the past eight years, can make or break the world.
So lets start with the first step, the next two years of my life throughout high school. I will be taking the SAT’s soon and therefor applying to colleges. Put aside the scores needed to get into a UC or CSU for now and focus on paying for whatever college I decide to go to. Currently my brother is a junior at UCSC and has college loans like most Americans do when going through college, now make our economy worse and see where I stand four years from now in his position. As the economy deteriorates around us, if will affect ultimately what college I go to. But deep down I believe that in times of crisis, we weed out the exceptional few- so no matter what I will do my best to conquer the odds.
Paying for gasoline, paying for food, paying for everything that I use day-to-day as an average American teenager. All of it is rising and my own money is being affected. I work for all my extras: cell phone, computer, games, music, movies, cameras, etc and I am seeing it all rise, all but my paychecks. Just last week I was studying with Alexa and Rachel at B&N and went to purchase a cookie. To my surprise the price had jumped, from $1.05 a year ago to $1.95 last week. Talk about inflation above the stars. I was hungry so I still bought it, but later that very same night I was going through finance papers, bank statements, stock holdings, and such and was trying to plan based on the inflation of how I will spend my money on a daily basis in the Bush economy. Now the Bush economy transfers over to the McCain economy, no matter how much he tries to deny it. Policy’s and party affiliation remain tied, its as if they are twins. So it is less a question of how will this election affect my life in the next four years, but rather as close as tomorrow, the next day, and taken into actual words of the question, November 5th.
The other day I was working on a clients project and I had to search the internet for a special part and when I found it followed a notice of currency change. See, the United States Dollar has plundered the world’s wealth, as stated by the Chinese government owned newspaper, and I am in perfect agreement. But in more so it is the policy’s of the President that does so. So the notice was a notice of a US company changing their prices from USD to Euro to slow down price fluctuation and create a more constant valued currency. Not even disappointing, but a major bullet of realization. As stated before, the policy’s of Bush are the policy’s of McCain- and I would not like this plundering of the worlds wealth to continue.
There is so much to say and so little that has been said, but discussing this topic has become so tiresome and redundant. I will end it with this, if the past eight years have not convinced us that we are at the mercy of our President- then we are and I am doomed to repeat it... something that will be detrimental to my tomorrow and my forever.
The outcome of this election is going to make a huge impact on society today. I personally am going to have to agree with Brennan on this one. I want Barack Obama to win. People’s complaints about Bush are growing louder than his own voice, so it definitely seems like it is time for a change. (Not that I truly believe McCain is going to be just another Bush) Maybe with Obama in office everything will be great and happy, or maybe everything will fall apart. Who knows? However, the majority of our country wants to take that risk. If Obama sticks to what he says he’s going to do, and everything goes as planned, maybe it will be for the better of this country. I do not want McCain to win because it is just going to be four more years of complaints about the president from all the Democrats. At this point, I don’t think anyone can see past the Republican party’s flaws.
Without a doubt this is the most important election we've seen in our lifetime. I'm not all that savvy in history, but we're almost back in the Great Depression so this election can be looked at as we need a new FDR. America needs to be boosted out of this economic depression, because our generation is coming up. Soon we will be applying to colleges, and (hopefully) getting accepted into colleges. With the shambles that the dollar is in now, we will most likely have to pay more for tuition. Soon we will all be getting meaningful jobs, we will have to care about income taxes and tax breaks. In general it's all about money. Yes, the world runs on love but literaly it runs on money, You need it to survive and have even the basics. Housing, food, clothes and clean water. We need a president that understands this. That we are the future. We need to fix this economy and fix this country.
It all depends on who wins. If Obama wins I predict great improvements with our country. For instance, we would most likely have better energy sources that we won't be so dependent on foreign oil. Which will help boost our economy and hopefully fix all these problems we have with the housing market and the bad bank loans. With Obama comes a bright future. But with McCain, I have to say I am kind of afraid to see what would happen. He is like Bush except older and can speak a little better. But other than that they are essentially the same. Both of them support the same things, like the War in Iraq, more drilling for oil, etc.
For the sake of our country and the world as we know it, let's go Obama!!!
Even though it doesn't seem like this election will have much of an impact on the next four years of our lives, it will. The next four years are probably the most important and life changing years of our lives, and as Laila said, this election can make or break our futures.
Obama's all for education and his policies state that they will fund education and provide high-quality child care. That may not sound important, but it's pretty much all our lives consist of. If our education manages to make it's way out of our lives, we'll be left with nothing and our futures will disappear.
Some people feel like the election doesn't have an effect on anything or anyone, and it doesn't matter who runs the country. That's very wrong. Each year the country changes, and whether it's good or bad it effects each and every one of us one way or the other.
Obama's the type of president we need because he has a good idea of what this country needs, and he's made it clear that he's willing to do whatever it takes to fix the failing economy.
This election has a huge impact on the next four years. We will (hopefully) all have jobs and have to deal with taxes in an economically challenging time. I can't tell the future, so I can't tell you who will do a better job with our country, because this is a problem beyond the magnitude of situations either candidate has dealt with before. I don't care who wins, as long as they seriously give some attention to this issue. For now, there is really no way to tell what will happen to the economy, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that America will choose the president who will make all of our lives easier and more profitable for the next four years.
This upcoming election to me will effect the Nation for sure in the next four years. Not only is it about Obama who does not have that much experience running a country but Mcain who i am unsure of yet. I am not going to write about the election because i have not even for a moment listened to anything that has to do with the election until these blogs. So to me its about the economy, and who is going to be the one that we can rely on to lead this country out of recession? Who is going to get out of the war? Who is going to help our Nation, rather then destroy it? Because who ever it is has to have a plan about the future because that is the thing that will effect us.
I don't know much about politics but one thing i do know is that this election is HUGE! This election is most likely the biggest election we have had yet. The biggest effect this election is going to have on me is the economy. One of these men will be our president for the next 4 years! I will be having a job in those years and I want to be paid good. The man i would choose would be John McCain. I hate to break it to you but honestly gas will be no doubt in my mind easily 5 dollars next year. I got my license like 4 months ago and i kinda drive a lot because of my hockey team. I don't want to be paying 5 dollars per gallon when I'm going to have to drive to my hockey practices and my hockey games that are usually like an hour away. Another reason i want McCain to win is because McCain has had much more experience than Obama has had and I am afraid that if Obama wins that he will not have enough experience. Another reason is that both my parents are Republicans so if McCain won that would be good for me. But besides these few reasons i believe both these men are well fit enough to make a good president.
The affect this election will have on the next 4 years is huge. Obama and McCain both have very different views, so depending on which one of them gets in office will determine our economy for the next 4 years. McCain always says that he is totally different from Bush, but unfortunately for him, I don’t really see a difference and feel that if he gets in office it will just be like another 4 years of Bush which would be horrible. Also, having Sarah Palin come with him as a package deal is scary. If she becomes the president if for some reason McCain dies, I would be scared to see what will be made of our country. Obama is definitely the change our country needs, and I feel with him and Biden in office our whole economy will prosper.
Also, I agree with whoever else has said it will be interesting to see what will happen once Obama wins because a lot of people do like him a lot. I personally think it will be a really good change to have a strong and inspiring democrat in office who will bounce the United States back to where we should be. Hopefully he sticks to everything he says he has planned for us, and I believe he will. If for some unknown reason McCain wins, then I hope he doesn’t take us down the same path Bush has because that will only dig us into a deeper hole.
That the outcome of this election will affect us in many ways. Barack Obama and John McCain have entirely different idea's on how to fix the issues that are contributing to the recession we are currently in. I think this election is going to result in many changes, however these changes depend on who wins the election. Not only will the election affect the next four years...but all the propositions that are involved in next Tuesday's ballot. I think that this ballot has the most important issues that we have been faced to decide on in a long time. The future of our country is in the hands of this years election.
The election will have a big affect for the next four years. If McCain is elected we won't be getting out of the war any time soon. Who knows how long we will still be in the war if he wins. If Obama is elected we are obviously going to try and end the war. The only good thing that could possibly happen if McCain and Palin win is that women will hopefully pursue their dreams and know that women can have the same jobs as men. But I still really want Obama to win
This election will make a great impact on the next four years of my life. The next four years of my life happens to be the years where I choose a college. What college I will end up going to, will change the rest of my life. My famaily happens to not have much money, so i have to find a way to pay for my college loans. Usually students take loans to pay for their tuitions. But I know that i will not be able to pay off those loans without a good enough job. My parents will not be able to help me, and i will be in a hole. Obama is working on helping college students with their tuitions. That would be a great help for me. So the biggest question in the news: Obama or McCain? They both have entirely different views and every single person's future will be in the hands of the next President. McCain wants to finish the job in Iraq, but Obama wants to stop it and take all of our troops out of Iraq. I never know where I may be in 4 years and it is even a possibilty that i will end up serving for the army. The President must make a great deal of decisions, and some will anger many countries but other countries will like them. I am walking on my own road, my own tracks. This electionmay end up changing my tracks and changing the outcome of my life as well.
This election will have a huge effect on me and the entire country. This could easily be the biggest election we've ever had and the winner will surely have to make very important decisions for this country. I think that Barack Obama and Joe Biden will be the smarter pair to be elected. I believe Obama will start getting our country back to a surplus rather than being in so much debt. To me, Obama will be much more fit for the presidency than John McCain will.
This election will make a huge impact on everyone's lives within the next four years. Just because we can't vote, doesn't mean it doesn't affect us. The bad economy affects teenagers also because we are starting to drive and get jobs. So depending on which candidate wins and what policies they are planning on enforcing for the economy will impact our lives just the same as it would with adults who can vote. If Obama wins, it will obviously be historical. I can't say how exactly this election is going to change the next four years because I don't know what kind of plans each candidate has in mind or how many of those ideas are going to be put into effect. However, i do know that with how terrible the economy is right now, the new incoming president is going to have a lot to deal with and hopefully a lot they can change.

I got some of my info at:
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/03/obama_mccain_on_the_issues/?page=3
I think it's kinda summed up by this video --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtEP3ROE4zw
With McCain at what some people say "deaths door" Palin would take charge of the country.

Here are some of the websites I used to write my blog:
http://www.ontheissues.org/Barack_Obama.htm
We need to fix this economy and fix this country.
http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/update-thursday-part-2/742141/
Obama's the type of president we need because he has a good idea of what this country needs, and he's made it clear that he's willing to do whatever it takes to fix the failing economy.
http://www.barackobama.com/issues/education/
This election has a huge impact on the next four years. We will (hopefully) all have jobs and have to deal with taxes in an economically challenging time. I can't tell the future, so I can't tell you who will do a better job with our country, because this is a problem beyond the magnitude of situations either candidate has dealt with before. I don't care who wins, as long as they seriously give some attention to this issue. For now, there is really no way to tell what will happen to the economy, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that America will choose the president who will make all of our lives easier and more profitable for the next four years.
http://blog.wired.com/cars/2008/10/wall-street-bai.html
